How To - Change Your Windows Wallpaper

Filed under: — The Warden @ 10:42 pm

There is quite a few approaches one can go about changing your Windows desktop wallpaper. I will show you a few ways to go about doing this.

Change desktop wallpaper using Desktop Properties.

To change your desktop wallpaper or background we must get into your “Desktop Properties”. You can take two different directions to get there, a or b. Then follow step 1.

  • Left single mouse click to Start Menu -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Appearance and Themes -> Display -> Desktop (tab at the top). If you see “Appearance and Themes”, left double mouse click the category other wise look for “Display”.
  • Right single mouse click on the desktop and then left single mouse click on Properties -> Desktop (tab at the top).
  • Once you are in the “Desktop Properties” look under background, this is a list of available wallpapers. Left single mouse click to chose a wallpaper or you can single mouse click on “Browse” to select a wallpaper from a different location. Make sure the wallpaper looks okay in the preview monitor. If not you can play with it a bit by choosing a different position. Once you are satisfied left single mouse click on “Ok”.
Change desktop wallpaper via your web browser

Mozilla Suite / Firefox
Right single mouse click on wallpaper in the browser and then left single mouse click on “Set As Wallpaper”.

IE (Internet Explorer)
Right single mouse click on wallpaper in the browser and then left single mouse click on “Set As Background”.

Change desktop wallpaper via graphics editor/viewers

This step is a little more advanced but I just wanted to let you know this is possible to do it this way. It’s pretty simple to achieve in a basic graphics viewer such as XnView. I won’t get into graphic editors and other viewers.

If you are using XnView you can browse through your images or wallpapers in this case. Right single mouse click on a wallpaper and then move the mouse cursor over “Set as Wallpaper” then chose position type.

Please feel free to comment or give suggestions.

Comic Strip Joke

Filed under: — The Warden @ 8:19 pm

I wish I knew the origin of this comic. It’s quite a witty joke. This type of joke would only be funny to those that do computer programming. I could see something like this happening in the future when we start to see more digital black boards :-D.

PSP Reviewed

I wish I could review the PSP myself however there is an awesome review with all the details by Trusted Reviews published at The Register. This is the best review and details I’ve found about the PSP. I’m pretty impressed with this unit. If everything actually meets what Trusted Reviews claims I think Nintendo is going to have a run for there money for portable gaming.
