Short Film – Delivery

Delivery Still Shoot

I have to say I was not a big fan of short films but after watching “Batman: New Times” and “Spiderman: The Legend of Doc” I’m hooked. The third short film “Delivery” by Till Nowak definitely has me more then interested. “Delivery” is an amazing short film of artistic talent and expression. The unique effects used to show dimension between the gray box and the land outside the building is nothing but amazing. I have to ad might as well that the music fits the scenes perfectly.

I highly recommend everyone to check out this short film. It’s well worth downloading the premium divx format (100MBs).

Batman: New Times

Hi everyone. I wanted to inform everyone about this unique short film I came across yesterday. It’s called Batman: New Times. The short film was a student project undertaken by the December 2004 Graduating Class of The DAVE School. The short film Batman: New Times is the usually story of Batman and Robin saving Gotham City. What makes this short film so cool and entertaining is the fact that all the characters are played as Lego men with voices done by Adam West as Batman, Mark Hamill as The Joker, Courtney Thorne-Smith as Catwoman, Dick Van Dyke as Commissioner Gordon and student Josh Adams as Robin. That’s pretty cool if you ask me. Turns out that this cool short film was inspired by another short film called Spiderman: The Legend of Doc. Make sure to check that cool short film out as well. You can read further about the short film by going to the Batman: New Times about film page.

Grannies on the Road

Here’s a good clean joke I received from a co-worker at work. Enjoy.

Sitting on the side of the road waiting to catch speeding drivers, a police officer sees a car puttering along at 22 mph. He thinks to himself, “This driver is as dangerous as a speeder!” So he turns on his lights and pulls the driver over.

Approaching the car, he notices that there are five elderly ladies – two in the front seat and three in the back, wide-eyed and white as ghosts. The driver, obviously confused, says to him, “Officer, I don’t understand. I was going the exact speed limit. What seems to be the problem?”

The trooper trying to contain a chuckle, explains to her that 22 was the route number, not the speed limit. A bit embarrassed, the woman grinned and thanked the officer for pointing out her error. “But before you go, Ma’am, I have to ask, is everyone in this car OK These women seem pretty shaken?” “Oh, they’ll be all right in a minute, officer. We just got off Route 127.”

The Gamer’s Quarter

The Gamer's Quarter Issue #1 - Front Cover

There is a new online magazine out called The Gamer’s Quarter. I must say this magazine is one of the biggest and best gaming material I’ve come across. It’s 92 pages of pure gaming material by gamers for gamers. Each issue is made available online at The Gamer’s Quarter web site in PDF format only. At first I wasn’t impressed that I had to download a PDF to read it but I actually prefer it this way especially if they plan on continuing to have so many pages full of awesome content. I’ve never read a magazine that went so in depth. I really enjoyed reading the article “Untold Tales of The Arcade”. I hope this online magazine continues and I look forward to seeing the next issue. I will make sure to let everyone here know when a new issue is released or you can subscribe to The Gamer’s Quarter mailing list. Also I would like to say great work to all the people invoked in this magazine.
