Midgard – AIS Theme
Hi everyone. I know there has been a few people waiting for me to post about this. I apologize for such a delay. I’ve been really busy at work and consulting work is crazy right now. I have one screen done and I wanted to do one more for this first theme. For now I’ll give it post and see what everyone has to say. I said I’ll make something and I will. The theme has the same look/feel as midgard-project.org, but I like it. It’s original and it works. I just wanted to achieve more with the orientation of the data presented. I have a better solution on I believe for the orientation of the data. I’ll try to do that soon. Anyways enough babble… here’s the mock up theme I’ve done.
Please send in your comments, suggestions or directions.

Adam,
Couple of quick comments:
* This layout is following the current Midgard site design. However, the new visual outlook of the project is closer to the Midgard Welcome Page in 1.6:
https://admin.ftc.fi/midgard/
* Also, I think a problem is that the layout leaves quite little space for the actual content area (the wider box in the screenshot). With complex forms or components, this might not be enough.
* And as a third comment, it should be noted that in current situation the AIS tools are embedded in user’s site layout, so the area given to AIS can be quite small. However, we might choose to show AIS in completely its own layout in the future
But anyway, a good start, definitely!
* Yes it does. This doesn’t mean this would be the only theme (classic). I wasn’t aware that this welcome page was going to continue. I thought it was going to be centralized into one place instead of multiple locations?
* No this wouldn’t be a problem. This is why I mentioned I wanted to get the other page mock up done. You would be presented with this screen shot then taken to the site settings or site authoring/administration page. At this page you would have the entire wide of the browser for the content area.
* Well I understand that but thought this would change. I disagree that it would continue to be embedded into the user’s web site. This is an interface of it’s own and should be given the entire area for content. It makes it to restrictive and what does it honestly gain by having it embedded?
I’ll make the next mock up and post that and also see about coming up with an entirely new look instead of the classic m-p.org look.
