PXN8.com – Online Photo Editor

Every had a situation where you required a photo editor but didn’t have GIMP, Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro handy. Well there is such a tool now online that requires no plugin nor software installation, PXN8. PXN8 (pronounced pix-en-ate) is an online basic image editing tool that just uses HTML, CSS and JavaScript. PXN8 provides the ability to crop, resize, rotate, image centering (spirit level), remove red eye, adjust colors, whitening tool, light correction, flat/noisy correction, zoom in/out, selections and fun effects. Images can be loaded into PXN8 via uploading one via your computer or via a web site address. After your editing is completed you can save the results to Flickr or save it to your computer. Just basic editing but good enough for most people’s needs. For the more adventurous PXN8 can be customized using HTML, CSS and a variety of web programming languages. Of course for those wanting to do this one has to pay the big price tag of $749.00 USD. Seems a little high considering Photoshop or let alone GIMP blows this online application out of the water. However I could see this being quite handy for various businesses online. The only real concern I have is what about my privacy with the images I’ll be using in PXN8 at pxn8.com? No mention on the site to this that I saw. Over all I would have to say this online application is quite amazing considering what it can do only using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
