The look of this car is nothing but amazing. Very stunning, powerful look backed with major power under the hood and to top it all of it’s just a concept car (smile).

Do people really care about their own personal information?

Filed under: — The Warden @ 8:35 pm

Here’s something to read that will make you think. I’m more then aware of such situations but to many people just don’t seem to realize the impact of their actions when it comes to their personal information.

ASCII Aquarium

Filed under: — The Warden @ 9:35 am

This has to be one of the geekiest things I’ve found to date. A guy by the name of Kirk Baucom wrote a perl script that creates a virtual aquarium using ASCII characters. Chuck Houpt has created a Mac OS X package of Asciiquarium and Michael Pyne and Maksim Orlovich have created a KDE Screensaver based on Asciiquarium.

PXN8.com - Online Photo Editor

Filed under: — The Warden @ 12:27 am

Every had a situation where you required a photo editor but didn’t have GIMP, Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro handy. Well there is such a tool now online that requires no plugin nor software installation, PXN8. PXN8 (pronounced pix-en-ate) is an online basic image editing tool that just uses HTML, CSS and JavaScript. PXN8 provides the ability to crop, resize, rotate, image centering (spirit level), remove red eye, adjust colors, whitening tool, light correction, flat/noisy correction, zoom in/out, selections and fun effects. Images can be loaded into PXN8 via uploading one via your computer or via a web site address. After your editing is completed you can save the results to Flickr or save it to your computer. Just basic editing but good enough for most people’s needs. For the more adventurous PXN8 can be customized using HTML, CSS and a variety of web programming languages. Of course for those wanting to do this one has to pay the big price tag of $749.00 USD. Seems a little high considering Photoshop or let alone GIMP blows this online application out of the water. However I could see this being quite handy for various businesses online. The only real concern I have is what about my privacy with the images I’ll be using in PXN8 at pxn8.com? No mention on the site to this that I saw. Over all I would have to say this online application is quite amazing considering what it can do only using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

The Daily Breakfast Podcast Plea

Filed under: — The Warden @ 10:41 pm

UPDATE: Father Roderick pulled a big April Fools joke on me. So this entire thing is a joke and is not true, however my plea is sincerely true.

Hi everyone. I hope I’m not posting this to late to help out Father Roderick. Father Roderick has recently announced in his podcast The Daily Breakfast episode #99 that he may have to stop podcasting because his diocese staff feel he is not contributing to his projects for the dioceses. I for one of course am entirely against this and wish to help out in any way possible. Father Roderick has asked all listeners to send in an email to plea for the podcasting to continue. So if you are a subscriber to any of Father Roderick’s work please send in your comments. Father Roderick plans to take the feedback to his Bishop tomorrow, Saturday. For complete details and explanations of this situation please listen to The Daily Breakfast episode #99. You can read my plea email I sent in by reading more. I kind of wrote it fast since I didn’t have a lot of time. I hope it’s okay.

Mr. Angry/ Mrs. Calm Face Illusion

Filed under: — The Warden @ 9:39 pm

This is an amazing photograph illusion I received via email from a friend. I was really wanting to locate and verify the origin of this image to give credit where it’s due. If anyone knows please let me know as I understand this photo was originally done in color.

Face Illusion

If you watch the above images from your seat at the computer, Mr. Angry is on the left, and Mrs. Calm is on the right.

Get up from your seat, and move back 12 feet, and PRESTO!! they switch places!!

The person who sent this (originally) believes this illusion was created by Phillippe G. Schyns and Aude Oliva of the Univ. of Glasgow.

This proves that we may not be seeing what’s actually there, all the time!!
