<p>The Apple&#8217;s iTunes software shows notifications of updates available for apps (applications) for iPhones, iPad and iPod Touch by placing a small numeric value in a box beside &#8220;Apps&#8221; under &#8220;Library&#8221; within iTunes. As time goes by it appears this numeric value becomes inaccurate as it reports that there is updates yet when you click on &#8220;Updates Available&#8221; under &#8220;Apps&#8221; (bottom right corner) there is no updates or only a few updates that does not add up to what it is reporting is available. It should be noted that though this maybe anonying to some it is not in any way harmful to iTunes or the device.</p>

<h4>Solution &#8211; One</h4>

<p>This issue occurs when one or more apps are purchased using more then one iTunes account. Login to each iTunes account and check for app updates. If there are any then allow the updates to be downloaded and installed. One other option would be to delete the app in iTunes and on the device and then download and install under the preferred iTunes account. In most cases this will resolve the problem.</p>
<h4>Solution &#8211; Two</h4>

<p>Be warned this this step is only necessary if the above does not work. Also be aware the steps below will delete all apps (applications) in your iTunes library. Make sure to have the applications backed up before proceeding.</p>
<ol>
<li>If the first solution didn&#8217;t work try going in iTunes under &#8220;Library&#8221; -> &#8220;Apps&#8221;.</li>
<li>Highligh one random application and then select all applications by pressing CTRL-A or click on the menu &#8220;Edit&#8221; -> &#8220;Select All&#8221;.</li>
<li>Right mouse click on the an application and click on &#8220;Delete&#8221; or click on the menu &#8220;Edit&#8221; -> &#8220;Delete&#8221;.</li>
<li>Click on the device under &#8220;Devices&#8221; on the left hand side and then click on &#8220;Sync&#8221; at the bottom right hand corner.</li>
</ol>
<p>When the sync is completed all the applications installed on the device will be back in the iTunes Library and the Apps update notification should now be corrected.</p>

<p>When trying to download apps (applications) for an iPhone or iPad using iTunes a message appears stating the following.</p>

<h4>Solution</h4>
<hr />
<p>I unfortunately can not give exact steps on how to resolve this issue. However based on my recent experience I can strongly advise that majority of the time this issue is related to a firewall, anti-virius and/or spyware/malware protection software/hardware configuration. These services weather software or hardware are blocking some or all of your app downloads. Refer to your software or hardware logs and configuration so that you can allow this specific traffic through. Once this is done there will no longer be an issue downloading iPhone or iPad apps.</p>

<li>Start with the device turned off. If device is locked and you are not aware of the password remove the battery and then re-install the battery.</li>
<li>Hold down the * and E keys at the same time for 5 seconds while turning on the device.</li>
</ol>
<p>At this stage you will see a message at the top of the screen and then eventually the entire screen will change while the hard reset is being completed. Be patient, this process can take some time.</p>

<p>I have multiple <a href="http://www.openbsd.org/">OpenBSD</a> web servers some internal and some public (accessible via the Internet) that uses <a href="http://www.sendmail.org/">Sendmail</a>. However on the network there is only one publicly known email server. Therefore I require to <a href="http://www.sendmail.org/">Sendmail</a> to function as follows, route all email through an <acronym title="simple mail transfer protocol">SMTP</acronym> smart host and when routing mail to the <acronym title="simple mail transfer protocol">SMTP</acronym> smart host change the email address hostname (masquerade). For example an email sender of &#8220;root@foobar.example.com&#8221; would be changed to &#8220;root@example.com&#8221;.</p>
<p>I’m by no means a <a href="http://www.sendmail.org/">Sendmail</a> expert, the steps I explain here is what I’ve learned on my own and with the assistance of Zerberus in <acronym title="Internet Relay Chat">IRC</acronym> <a href="http://www.freenode.net/">Freenode</a> #sendmail channel.</p>

<p>Alter Sendmail&#8217;s configuration file adding the following lines. <li>Save the file and now test radio station you just added on the Nintendo Wii.</li>

<p>If the radio station does not play go back and ensure you have the correct station stream feed link. If indeed you have the correct stream feed link then it&#8217;s possible it is not accessible in the manner you are trying to access it or the protocol for the station is not support by MPlayer_CE.</p>

<li>Set &#8220;Print Area&#8221; for each sheet under &#8220;Page Layout/Page Setup&#8221;.</li>
<li>Set the &#8220;page orientation&#8221; under &#8220;Page Layout/Page Setup&#8221; to portrait or landscape for each sheet as necessary.</li>
<li>Right click on a worksheet tab at the bottom of the screen and click on &#8220;Select All Sheets&#8221;.</li>
<li>Now under Page Layout/Page Setup set the paper size and print quality for all sheets.</li>

<p>After 2 minutes have passed, plug the power adapter back into the back of the Wii and power outlet/source.</p>

<p>If the power light comes on, plug the sensor bar into the back of the Wii and press the power button to turn the system on to see if it still works. Repeat this process for each accessory. If you discover one or more accessory causes the system to not be functional have the accessory replaced or repaired.</p>

<h4>Problem</h4>

<p>There are two issues I&#8217;m experiencing all resulting in the fact that windows explorer is not refreshing the drive contents and/or drive volume label. Both issues occur on  CD/DVD reader and CD/DVD writer drives. As well I&#8217;ve tried multiple discs from ones I&#8217;ve burnt to discs that were commercial produced and these discs all work fine on other computer systems.</p>
<ol>
<li>My Computer/Windows Explorer is not refreshing the CD/DVD drive contents.</li>
<li>My Computer/Windows Explorer is not refreshing the CD/DVD volume label.</li>
</ol>
<h4>Issue #1 &#8211; Drive Contents</h4>
<p>One of two scenarios occur. One, at times if I&#8217;m taking a disc out of one of the drives and then put another one in the contents of the drive is not refreshed or Windows Explorer will prompt to format the disc even though the disc is not blank and has been fixated (closed disc).</p>
<p>Two, after burning a CD/DVD I am rarely ever am able to view the contents of the disc via Windows Explorer. Again I&#8217;m prompted with a dialog to format the disc even though the disc can not be blank. Oddly again both issues are gone when I view the contents of the drive via the command prompt.</p>
<p>If I eject the CD/DVD out of the drive using Windows Explorer not pressing the eject button on the drive itself then putting the disc back into the computer usually allows me to view the contents of the disc within Windows Explorer.</p>
<p>The only reliable way I&#8217;m able to see the current contents of a given CD/DVD is by using the command prompt.</p>
<h4>Issue #2 &#8211; Volume Label</h4>
<p>The CD/DVD volume label rarely appears correctly within windows explorer. If it does by chance, it is then stuck with that volume label until I reboot Windows Vista. Trying to refresh by pressing F5 does not help. Even if I eject the CD/DVD from the either drive by pressing the eject button on the drives themselves or clicking on eject with the mouse the drive label still shows/appears as if  there is a CD/DVD in the drive.</p>
<p>The only reliable way I&#8217;m able to see the correct volume label at all times is by using the command prompt.</p>
<h4>Solution</h4>

<p>I&#8217;m not aware of any solution, only work a rounds is doing one of the following list below. However these work a rounds are not perfect nor practical/logical. Even using an alternative application to Windows Explorer I still found issues of the correct volume name of the disc. Even if a disc was not in the drive it would still show a volume name. Although at least if you accessed the drive it would refresh the contents of the disc.</p>
<ul>
<li>Only use &#8220;eject&#8221; button within Windows Explorer and not on the physical drive.</li>
<li>Use the command prompt to view contents of the disc and volume name.</li>
<li>Use an alternative application to Windows Explorer such as <a href="http://www.freecommander.com/">FreeCommander</a> or <a href="http://www.mi3soft.info/?page=noblegas.xenon">Xenon File Manager</a>.</li>
</ul>
<p>I&#8217;ve anyone has a solution that works 100% and allows the use of Windows Explorer please feel free to post your solution under comments.</p>

<li>Go to Control Panel -> Printers.</li>
<li>Right mouse click on &#8220;Adobe PDF&#8221; and left click on &#8220;Properties&#8221;.</li>
<li>Left mouse click on &#8220;Ports&#8221; tab.</li>
<li>Uncheck mark the current port that is presently check marked. Place a checkmark on either &#8220;Desktop\*.pdf&#8221; or &#8220;Documents\*.pdf&#8221;. Ensure the description is &#8220;Adobe PDF Port&#8221;.</li>
<li>Left click on &#8220;Ok&#8221; button then close the printers window.</li>

<li>Run Pidgin application.</li>
<li>In Pidgin &#8220;Show Buddy List&#8221; and go to the menu &#8220;Accounts&#8221; -> &#8220;Manage Accounts&#8221;.</li>
<li>Modify your MSN account, ensure the protocol shows &#8220;MSN&#8221;.</li>
<li>Change &#8220;Protocol&#8221; to &#8220;WLM&#8221; and then click &#8220;Save&#8221;.</li>
<li>Login to your MSN account.</li>
</ol>
