The 1st U12 game tonight at 7:45pm has been canceled. The game will possibly be rescheduled, I’ll keep you posted. The 2nd and 3rd games will continue tomorrow as originally scheduled starting at 8am at Osler’s soccer pitch. Please show up 20 minutes early for warm up.

Hello parents, it is my understanding that some of you were not aware of the Waldheim game being canceled including the Waldheim coach. I can understand your frustration or anger you may have and I don’t disagree with your feelings. However, I would like to apologize for any frustration, anger or inconvenience I may have caused you and give some insight into my position.
I take my role and position as coach and soccer coordinator seriously. I try to always do the best to my ability under the circumstances and resources I have available to me with the time available. This unfortunate situation was not my intent, however this is why I setup various methods of communication (4 additional to the telephone) to try and improve on communication to you as making phone calls at times is not possible and unfortunately this was one of them. I took the best action I could at the time, as I was at work, and sent communications out around Thursday at 2:40pm via email, soccer web site, Facebook and Twitter during time I was suppose to be working at my job. I had no time after work was done to make calls. If I had someone else available to me to assist then that would have been an option but it is not. I realize as one put it “you don’t sit around at a computer all day” and for that reason this is why I made these levels of communications available as they aren’t just accessible via a computer but via many mobile devices and take far less time to find an answer then making calls after calls. As for the Waldheim coach not being aware of me canceling the game, this was another unfortunate and endless frustration/situation but there was nothing I could have done. I tried for way more time then should have to (during work) trying to get a hold of someone so I could let the Waldheim coach know but unfortunately that didn’t happen fast enough.
I want to make it clear that this was the best I could do at the time and I apologize for any inconvenienced this may have caused you. Everyone is more then welcome to volunteer your time. Volunteers are desperately need for soccer and even more so for next year as there is no one presently to run it as some may know I have resigned as the soccer coordinator and only just assisting until the season is done.

The 2011 Mini Valley Cup will be held in Rosthern on June 10 to 11 – Age Groups U8 – U10.
U8′s are playing on Friday June 10th and Saturday June 11th.
U10′s are playing on Saturday June 11th.
Awards will be handed on at the end of the tournament. If there is any questions during the tournament talk to your coach or field marshal.
Note: To clarify the tournament is not being played on Sunday June 12th.

This will help everyone prepare for the class. Bring running shoes as you will be in the gym to review hand signals and flag signals.
